Hi, Tom here. Today we’re going to talk about tips for improving your gas mileage. I have three tips that you can very easily do at home. Number one, check your air pressures. Number two, always check your air filter.  And, number three, check the engine oil.

  1. Tire pressures are located on the tire. Tire pressures are located in the owner’s manual, and they’re also located inside the door jam. Now, the tire pressures that are located inside the owner’s manual and on the door jam, are specified by the vehicle manufacturer. The tire pressures that are located on the tires, are rated by the tire manufacturer. I always recommend that you go with what the vehicle manufacturer states for air pressures because they’re the ones that designed the suspension and steering system that is utilizing those tires.
  2. The second thing you want to think about is the air filter. The air filters are relatively easy and accessible to get to but if your can can’t breath correctly, it’s going to work harder costing you more money in fuel.
  3. And, the final tip is checking your engine oil. Having good, clean engine oil in your engine allows your engine to move more freely.  Therefore, saving you fuel.
