About Our Team

Our Team

Tom and his wife, Sue, have owned Action Auto Repair since 1996.  Originally from a small town in Northern Illinois, his interest in cars started very young when he started taking them apart and putting them back together.  After graduating from High School, he took a job in California as an auto parts representative which eventually brought him to Arizona.

He and Sue have 2 kids – a son, Zach, a self employed personal trainer, and a daughter, Dakoa, an accomplished dancer.

Tom loves fishing and tries to do as much as possible.  A quiet, lakefront cabin in the woods is his perfect get away spot.  And if he can get there via his motorcycle, what could be better?

Customer Service Manager

Joe is the guy you will likely speak to when calling or stopping in to Action Auto Repair.  He is our Office Manager and Main Customer Service Representative and he is more than happy to explain our services and answer your questions.  He has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive repair industry.

Born and raised in Southern California, he moved to Arizona in 1995 looking for a change of pace.  He now lives in North Peoria with his wife, Jan, and their Olde English Bulldog, Bentley.

Like Tom, he enjoys fishing.  His favorite spot to fish is Roosevelt lake.

Joe loves to vacation in Hawaii – he’s been there 6 times!  His dream is to someday retire there.

Master Technician

Jose is practically a fixture here at Action Auto Repair.  He has been a technician here for 16 years.  He lives with his wife, Martha, their 2 kids, Maria and Daniel, a Chihuahua named Chewy, and 2 cats (who will remain nameless for their protection!).

Jose is a techy and loves working on computers.  He’s our go to guy whenever we have a computer problem in the office.  What’s his absolute favorite place to be?  Fry’s Electronics, of course!

Advanced Certified Technician – Customer Service Adviser, Wheel Alignment Specialist

Pete is the resident “Cowboy” here at Action Auto Repair.  He is also our Wheel Alignment Specialist and has taken advanced training on the new Wheel Alignment equipment that has been recently been added to our shop.  This gives our customers another valuable service that can be performed here on site.

Recently, he moved from the back as a tech, up to the front counter as a Customer Service Adviser. His years and years of hands on repair work experience makes him the perfect person to advise and explain work to customers.  So now, there are 2 knowledgeable and friendly Service Advisers to help with all your repair needs and questions – Joe & Pete.

Pete and his wife, Ellen, own a small ranch southwest of the valley. They have 3 daughters.  Ellen is a full time teacher.  At the ranch, they board horses and Pete and his daughter, Madison, give lessons and train horses.  Their clients are both young and old, but they specialize in training young kids to barrel race their horses.  Most of their weekends are spent traveling to various barrel racing competitions around the state.  When they’re not at competitions, Pete enjoys the outdoors – camping, fishing, and of course riding his horses.

BMW/Mini & European Car Specialist

Curtis is our BMW/Mini Specialist and our go-to guy for any Euro car repair. He not only works on cars full time during the day, but builds carbon fiber car parts once he gets home. Curtis loves to attend car shows especially ones that include exotic cars. He also is a Formula One race fan. On the weekends, he loves to get in his BMW and go for long drives. One of his favorite drives is to Alpine, AZ in the east central part of our state.

Originally from Texas, Curtis has lived in AZ for 14 years. He, and his girlfriend have 4 dogs – 3 Shiat zus and a Maltese.

Curtis is an avid gun enthusiast and has gone through extensive technical training. Along with spending time at target practice, he makes holsters from leather and kydex.

Hybrid & Diesel Specialist

Josh is our Hybid and Diesel Specialist. He has lived in AZ for the past 20 years, but originally, he’s from Wyoming.

He is a huge outdoor enthusiast. His garage is full of quads, dirt bikes, and a Rhino. He loves to pack up his motor home and take his son and daughter off road riding. It doesn’t matter whether it’s the Cinders, sand dunes, desert, or mountains – as long as it’s off road, it’s a good time!
